The Right Way to Shave – November 30 at FEPL

right-way-to-shave_small Our goal to help men discover a love of shaving came a long way last year at our “The Right Way to Shave” workshop at Fort Erie Public Library Centennial Branch. We’re still getting great feedback about that event and the demand for another workshop has left us humbled and committed to do it again. On Wednesday, November 30 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm the workshop will be hosted again at Fort Erie Public Library Centennial Branch. Mike Daigle, proprietor of Bridgeburg Gentleman’s Shoppe and barber at Fate Salon will give helpful advice to men who are seeking to step up their shaving routine and eliminate irritation. This hands-on workshop will coach shaving techniques using cartridge system razors, double edge safety razors and straight razors. Call the FEPL at 905-871-2546 to register for this free event. Seating is limited. When attending the workshop you will need to bring your razor in a mug or small bowl in a medium sized bowl wrapped with a couple of small hand towels. Bring a shaving brush if you own one. Wet shaving cream and hot water will be provided.

Grand Preview of a Grand Opening (A Taste of Fort Erie)

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the entrepreneurs of Bridgeburg Historic District and beyond at the first annual Taste of Fort Erie. It was so exciting to see Jarvis Street lit up with thousands of smiling faces enjoying a full day of family fun. We had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people and letting them in on the news that our store along with Atrium Spa will be joining Fate Salon at 31 Jarvis Street to provide everything he and she needs or wants when it comes to grooming and pampering. Construction begins in October. Watch for our Grand Opening announcement in Spring, 2016.

7th Annual Bridgeburg Car Show

Come out and enjoy a day of family fun at Central Fire Station, 444 Central Avenue between Gilmore Road and Wintemute Street for the 7th Annual Bridgeburg Car Show. Spend an afternoon checking out the rods, relics and a line-up of attractions and vendors. There will even be a swap meet area. The show runs from 11:00am through 4:30pm on Saturday, May 30 then the after-party begins at 5:30pm with live music, food and lots of fun. Imbibing in the garden begins at noon.
