We’ve Slashed Our Blade Prices!

We are always thinking of ways to reward our regular customers and this time we looked at products that require regular replacement to really give you an edge on savings. Not surprisingly the most often replaced item in your shaving arsenal is razor blades. We have dropped pricing as much as 30% on replacement blades. You can save even more by trying out a sample pack to get you acquainted with a variety of brands to help you find the blade that works best for you. Our sample packs provide an additional $3.00 in savings after taxes.

We offer four different flavors of our Double Edge Sampler. In addition to the standard pack that introduces you to popular brands you can also choose between the “Platinum“, “Sharp” and “Stainless” packs which have been assembled to satisfy those with a known preference for blade coating. We generally recommend to start with other than the sharpest blades. Sharper does not always mean better when it comes to shaving. Your hair quality, skin chemistry and the type of blade and its coating are all factors deciding the fate of your shave. That’s why we recommend trying different brands and different coatings and discourage the jump to the sharpest edge right away. A sharper edge brings more risk for nicks and cuts but does not necessarily cut your hair with any greater efficiency than another comparable blade. Focus on technique and don’t get hung up on sharpness then you might pocket a pack of Feathers and use them without causing weepers, nicks or cuts.

We recommend changing your blade weekly if you shave daily. Expect to get about 4 to 8 shaves from a double edge blade compared to about 5 to 10 shaves from a cartridge. The savings from using a double edge razor versus  premium cartridges are almost tenfold! A proper rinse and thorough drying can extend the life of your blades as well as provide a more comfortable shave between replacements. Extend the life of your blades up to ten times longer by using the Razorpit Razor Sharpener which cleans and conditions your edge similarly to how a leather strop is used with a straight razor. Grand Preview of a Grand Opening (A Taste of Fort Erie)

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the entrepreneurs of Bridgeburg Historic District and beyond at the first annual Taste of Fort Erie. It was so exciting to see Jarvis Street lit up with thousands of smiling faces enjoying a full day of family fun. We had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people and letting them in on the news that our store along with Atrium Spa will be joining Fate Salon at 31 Jarvis Street to provide everything he and she needs or wants when it comes to grooming and pampering. Construction begins in October. Watch for our Grand Opening announcement in Spring, 2016.
